The Danna Langkawi Wedding: A Beach Ceremony at Sunset
In the case of a destination wedding, we certainly want to showcase the location.

As a Langkawi wedding photographer, I always enjoy working at The Danna. The combination of its design, light, and location makes it an ideal venue for couples planning a destination wedding in Malaysia.
This couple hosted their destination wedding at The Danna Langkawi. With the bride from Malaysia and the groom from Australia, they flew in with their closest friends and family to celebrate by the sea.

The rocks towards the sea
It’s a mixture of close ups and wide shots. In the case of a destination wedding, we certainly want to showcase the location.
In the case of The Danna, we have an iconic row of rocks formation towards the sea, and that’s just nice and allow me to create clean composition of the couple.

The dresses
It was hung there. On wedding day, these dresses are hung and then taken down for them to change anyway.
When properly setup, we could encourage new photographs to naturally happen itself.

The ceremony on the beach
The ceremony was on the beach, set against a glowing Langkawi sunset with soft, golden light.
If one photograph from this wedding goes on the wall, it’s this one. Iconic, what a moment captured. The couple taking the ceremony all in, and this shot would be burned into their core memory.

The bridal party
The bridesmaids and groomsmen photo sessions came after the ceremony. The Danna’s beautiful architecture made a perfect backdrop for portraits.

Everyone who attended
It’s a tight shot of our signature wide shot of everyone who attended the wedding.
Usually, a shot like this, we see the people in a wide photo where they appear tiny. We have our 2nd camera pointing at the main action point, hence that shot you see here.

The building
That’s the iconic The Danna main lobby, hotel and building. That’s the silhouette of any weddings hosted at The Danna Langkawi.
Their wedding is hosted at the lawn in front of the pool.
